Bagaholicboy News #126 - New Merchandise Now At NETPRICE Japan!

Load of gorgeous new merchandise have been launched at NETPRICE Japan and here's a quick rundown of my favourite picks. First up, we've got the Loewe Anagram Wallet in either Soft Grey or Black. Almost 50% off and retailing for SGD408 each now, each wallet comes with 4 credit card slots, a long slot for cash and a back coin pocket that's perfect for loose change.

For those of you who went crazy over the Marc by Marc Jacobs Mirror Heart Long Wallet I featured the last time, here's the matching coin purse which is also now available at NETPRICE Japan in 3 colours (Red, Gold and Purple) at just SGD70 each.

Missed the Marc by Marc Jacobs Lipstick Pen I was selling through Facebook the last time? Well, NETPRICE Japan has them now in stock too, at just SGD11 a pop.

Other great bargains include mobile straps and key rings from Loewe (SGD115 each), coin purses from Bottega Veneta (SGD408 each), cosmetic pouches from Balenciaga (SGD70 each), and long leather wallets from Prada (SGD577 each).

Besides the affordable prices, it's also very convenient too for those in Singapore as everything is shipped in via vPOST. Quick tip though, get your friends to join in the orders as that would mean sharing (and saving) on the shipping too! It's time to shop!

Louis Vuitton Mahina Solar Collection

Everyone knows that when it comes to choice, Louis Vuitton has the largest collection of handbag lines which is no wonder why they're tops when it comes to sales volume. So it will come as no surprise that I'm posting yet another new collection that will launched for S/S10. Known as the Louis Vuitton Mahina Solar collection (with a tentative release date of 1 January 2010), it will come in 2 sizes, the PM (shown here) and the GM.

Besides prerequisite colours Blanc and Noir, the Mahina Solar PM will also come in Taupe and Bordeaux, which also happen to be my favourite colours for this collection. Large, roomy with the lushness of soft perforated leather, it's one bag that's not hard to fall for.

Bagaholicboy Muses #149 - Merry Christmas!

It has certainly been an 'explosive' year for me, especially with everything that happened in the last 3 months. I'm very thankful for all my experiences this year, so to each and everyone of you who made it all possible; a very big thank you.

Already I'm looking forward to 2010, which should kick off with my move to Wordpress and being hosted on my own server. The new blog will also look a little different (call it a facelift of sorts), with (hopefully) better content. I will also be working closer with some brands on a few small projects, but more on that later.

At the same time, some things never change. It is raining now, which was also the case when I was doing the seasonal post last year. I'm also listening to Anna Caram now and (again) counting my blessings at the same time.

Guys, thanks for coming back here day after day, as well as hanging out (and having loads of fun) on my Facebook fan page. Here's wishing you all a very Merry Christmas (and in case I miss it) a very Happy New Year! And don't forget to tell me what you got for X'mas too!

Spring-Summer 2010 Womens Furla

Big is beautiful for everything Furla next season, judging from the Spring-Summer 2010 Womens Furla press kit that just landed on my table. Take the Furla Corniola (shown above) for example. Measuring 40 cm by 32 cm, it's one of those hold-all type bags that you can put half your wardrobe in. And no, it is not really python, but python-printed calf leather which makes it way more affordable.

And if the Corniola ain't big enough for you (yes, you wish to pack your entire wardrobe in), why not check out the Furla Rubino that measures 45 cm across. Also available in python-printed calf leather in Aloe Light Blue (so loving this shade) and White Cotton.

While Furla does make bags for men, they are still a long way off till achieving greatness. Next season's offerings include rip-offs (in polite speak; similar looking) from Tod's and Prada. So while I decided not to post anything from the mens collection here, I do feel the one shown above, the Furla Ametista from the womens collection is worthy of being a manbag. It's big (40 cm by 38 cm), in nappa leather and the colour (Cobalt Blue) is just gorgeous.

I'm so checking this one out as soon as it launches next year.

Samsonite Signat Mini Attaché

I first saw this many years ago, and just recently I spotted the Samsonite Signat Mini Attaché in Yellow which belonged to the stylist I assisted last month for a fashion spread he was shooting here. It was the cutest little thing I thought, and something I wouldn't mind owning for myself.

In other words, I had to have it.

It took me a while but I finally tracked one down at Luggage Base. They only had the one in Pink left, but at USD69.90 it was just too cheap to pass up. But because they did not ship directly to Singapore, I got a friend in the States (thanks Francis!) to order it on my behalf.

Measuring 30 cm by 21 cm, I love the fact that the body of the attaché was constructed with Samsonite's signature ABS shell. Pop it open and you're immediately greeted by the vibrant 1960s floral print (it's actually a 1965 reissue). Besides having PDA and mobile phone slots, it also comes with a little zip pouch in the same floral print.

I won't have the guts to bring it out, so I've decided that it will hold all my Louis Vuitton bric-a-brac, including my bag charms, rings and other bits. My early only X'mas present to myself and yes, I'm pleased as peas I finally got it.

Bagaholicboy Muses #148 - Meet The Littles

Proudly made in Singapore by creator Alan Leong, this also happens to be the second installment of the Littles, a trio of bug-eyed characters named Green, Blue and Red respectively. And like those in the first collection which featured the Littles carrying backpacks, this time round they're all decked out with cute messengers.

Standing 9 cm tall, my personal favourite is Blue Little.

Why? Because of the 3, he has the most rad messenger, one that's made out of 'snakeskin' in bright orange. Against his blue body, gold shorts/shoes and red gloves it's just perfect don't you think? Each Little is also limited to just 3 pieces each, and you can pre-order them here for USD95 each. I want!
